Lage University of Cologne

A warm welcome from the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at University of Cologne!

One of the unique trademarks of the program-structure is the wide range of options available for specialisation as well as generalisation. Individual study profiles can easily be realized around personal interests and ambitions. This master program consists of a major, a minor and the master thesis. While the major constitutes the thematic focus of the study course, the minor serves as an additional element of specialisation or diversification. There are no compulsory modules, neither in the major nor the minor; tailor-made study profiles may be created focusing on specific fields of interest or broadening perspectives and knowledge. With one of the largest faculties in Germany, the University´s curriculum offers a wide spectrum of disciplines in Management, Economics and Social Sciences for attaining individual qualifications. The WiSo-Faculty traditionally has a widespread, world-wide international network. It is the only German member in the student exchange program "Program in International Management" (PIM), a group of more than 50 leading international business schools.
Moreover the WiSo-Faculty represents the only German institution of higher education in the "Community of European Management Schools" (CEMS), a framework of 17 highly renowned European institutions of higher management education, as well as around 50 leading multinational companies, which cooperate in offering the CEMS Masters in International Management (CEMS MIM). In addition, several exchange programs on different levels exist with universities in the United States, Asia and in Western and Eastern Europe, not to mention the Erasmus programs. Additionally, two double-degree programs for participants of our master programs in Business Administration are available.
