Description
Many companies in Upper Austria specialise in building industrial plant. Graduates of this course are project managers who supervise and coordinate plant construction projects from signature of the purchase contract to completion of the project, taking into consideration all the relevant framework conditions: budget, schedule, required quality and many more factors. They are the interface between customer and supplier and coordinate the various specialist personnel for process engineering, design, automation, construction, assembly, accounting and legal matters. Plant Construction Engineers work in an international field and therefore need not only social- and management skills but also excellent command of English.
Academic Profile
Graduates of this Master´s degree course are eminently qualified to plan, coordinate, supervise and manage industrial plant construction projects and are prepared not only for careers in companies of this field but also for careers in all large companies in the processing industry which build new plant or extend existing plant.
Essential Information
* Qualification: Master of Science in Engineering, MSc
* Duration: 4 semesters (120 ECTS Credits)
* Mode of Study: Full-time or part-time
* Possible study times for part-time students: Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6pm, Friday from 2pm, Saturday from 8am.
* Entrance Requirement: A first degree qualification in a suitable subject (B.Sc. or Dipl.Ing.)
* Accreditation of previously-acquired knowledge or experience: possible at the discretion of the Director of Studies
* Method of Application: in writing by means of the application form
* Number of new admissions per year: 20
* Costs: None: there are currently no tuition fees
