The programme not only teaches what will be required knowledge in your professional life in the areas of finance, taxation and auditing but also the skills necessary to apply what you have learnt in actual consulting projects. Subjects are presented with a view to decision-making processes - not just learning facts but knowing what to do them is the aim of the programme. It prepares graduates for work in business consultancies, audit companies, investment banks, tax consulting and fincancial service companies.
Duesseldorf is a lively city, state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia and one of the most important business centres in Germany. Most of the larger consultancies and banks are represented in the region. The Department's close links to these companies will prove useful when students start applying for jobs after graduation.
The Fachhochschule Duesseldorf, with its business competence and international outlook offers the ideal conditions for a praxis-oriented master degree programme. The conception of this programme is influenced by the long years of experience the Department has in creating degree programmes, as well as the extensive practical knowledge of the lecturers.
There will be no lectures in the traditional sense - seminars, inter-disciplinary projects and case studies will give you the knowledge required in the profession. Right from the start you will be working on actual consultancy tasks and develop a decision basis for your customers. This innovative approach is quite demanding but makes sure that the transition into the job will be as smooth as possible.
