The Physics of Information Technology Bachelor´s and Master´s programmes offer knowledge and skills that enable graduates to work professionally in the interdisciplinary fields of physics, computer science and information technology (electrical engineering). The programme makes it possible to work as scientists in professional fields that use physical effects and correlations for the purpose of saving, transferring and processing information. The Bachelor´s degree is an internationally recognised and professional degree that certifies the skill of the graduates to apply scientific methods from physics and technology in the area of information technology. In the subsequent Master´s programme, students acquire skills that will enable them to work independently and responsibly in the field of physical information technology. After initial on-the-job training, graduates of the Master´s programme can contribute to the development of natural science and technology in their respective fields of work and meet the requirements of the profession and society, in both national and international contexts. The Master´s degree also qualifies students to take up a doctorate programme.
