Increasingly patients tend to trust in natural healing methods, whereas medical Doctors with profound knowledge about natural healing are rare. The master course for Natural Medicine is meant to fill in this gap.
It conveys verified empirical knowledge in the fields of natural medicine and qualifies the students to put them into practice.
The basis of the curriculum is formed by theory and practice of the most important different strands of traditional european medicine, which are connected to the names of Hahnemann, Mayr, Aschner, Kneipp and Hippocrate, as well as regulatory medicine , as defined by Pischinger, Kellner and Bergsmann.
Inhalte
The Course "Natural medicine" offers practically relevant knowledge from the field of empirical natural medicine efficiently combined with "classical medicine". Both points of view are not seen as "either-or" but rather as a "complement", depending on the needs and symptomatology of the patient. The aim of medical treatment is the most gentle and considerate treatment possible. Special emphasis is laid on practical procedures and on "learning by doing".
An important point in the curriculum is the teaching and analysis of specific quality manangement in medicine and its application to natural medicine. Other parts of curriculum contain the topics of patient-management, praxis -organisation und disease prevention.
The course stands out from the manifold course-offers in the field of complementary medicine by its ability to teach the main relevant methods of traditional eurpean medicine and how to combine them effectivly on a individual patient.
The students are trained to practice natural medicine on a scientific basis. Thanks to a highly qualified and experienced team of teachers a singularly high standard of teaching is achieved.

Akkreditierung
According to Austrian law, public universities are not subject to any obligations concerning accreditation. Nevertheless, Danube University Krems requests accreditation for many of its courses by international agencies.
