Computer Science is a software education and training that is oriented towards theory and includes strong methodological and algorithmic components. It is thus located at the interface of a number of other sciences. Its position between the hardware-oriented generalist programme (Telematics), a business-oriented programme (Software Development-Economy) and mainly theoretical programmes (Technical Mathematics) turns Computer Science into the missing link for many other disciplines.
The four-semester master’s programme Computer Science builds on the bachelor's programme and enables students to gain specialist knowledge in the following areas:

* Intelligent Systems
* IT Security
* Digital Image Processing
* Computer Graphics and Visualization
* Media Informatics
* Multimedia Systems
Job Profile
Know-how in computer science can be applied to almost any area of human activity, i.e. in industry and the service sector, in public administration as well as in teaching and research. In practice, computer scientists support the modelling, designing, implementing, assessing, and applying of complex software systems.

A master thesis in the amount of 30 ECTS Credits has to be completed.
Anforderungen
Candidates for admission to the Master's Programme must have successfully completed a relevant Bachelor's programme or other equivalent degree programmme.
