Newcastle University is one of the top 20 UK universities targeted by graduate employers and is ranked 5th amongst its peers for employability. With its award-winning Career Service, it has one of the best records for graduate employment in the UK with 94.3 per cent of its 2010 UK and EU graduates entering employment or further study within six months of graduation (DLHE survey 2009–10). Newcastle’s Library Service is the only one in the UK to be awarded the government's Charter Mark for excellent customer services five times in a row and the new Customer Services Excellence award.
