The Student Welfare Service (Seezeit Studentenwerk Bodensee) runs different cafeterias at the University and the University of Applied Sciences. In these establishments, food and drink is offered at a very low price, as compared to local restaurants. In Konstanz, these locations include a cafeteria at the University on the Gießberg, mainly used by students at the University of Konstanz, and a cafeteria located at Alfred-Wachtel-Straße 12, which serves the students of the University of Applied Sciences.
